The Director of Golf – Member is responsible for the coordination, functional management and leadership of the member golf operations which include Member & Guest Experience, Club Events, Retail, Course Setup, Practice Facility Set Up, and partnering with GCM to ensure an elite golf experience. The Director of Golf – Member will be a supervisor of the Member Head Golf Professional, Tournament Manager, Merchandise Manager and Assistant Professionals.

 

  • Create, implement, report and analyze the Golf Operation plan including budget and all other golf related financial duties
  • Coordinate specific objectives of the plan with all the functional departments of the company to include Guest Services, Food and Beverage and Golf Course Maintenance
  • Establish and enforce golf course policies, rules and regulations
  • Oversee all golf programs and activities
  • Develop and oversee Omni Cultural pieces for the Golf Operation

  • Conduct Manager reviews
  • Assist with merchandising program and presentation of the golf shop
  • Facilitate and oversee monthly inventory counts
  • Oversee supply levels for all departments (Golf Shop, Carts, Etc.)
  • Work closely with the GCM Department to coordinate turf care practices and course closures along with daily and tournament set up
  • Enforce consistent discipline procedures
  • Work closely with the Club team to ensure all club & special interest group events are executed at a high level with member satisfaction in mind
  • Assist with development of Policies and Procedures for the Member Golf Operation
  • Assist with planning & coordination of all WGA, MGA/SMGA, and Club events
  • Collaborate with Membership team to execute prospect tours & experiences
  • Track & manage daily revenue and labor
  • Ensure on course member and invited guest satisfaction

 

Qualifications:

  • Effective organizational and leadership skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be neat in appearance accordance with Omni standards
  • Able to work 50 + hours per week and be mobile for long periods of time

 

Working Environment:

  • Interior and exterior of resort
  • Normal office conditions
  • Fast paced environment

 

Job Requirements:

  • Class A PGA, minimum of 3 years’ experience as Director of Golf or Head Golf Professional, proficient in Word, Excel, POS, Electronic Tee Sheets, membership experience a plus, great people skills a must.
